INTERMEDIATE ORCHESTRA - 7th & 8th Grade (Year Long)

The Intermediate Orchestra is open to all students who have played the violin, viola, cello, or bass for at least 1 year. The class will cover note reading, tone production, and bow control through studies and performance literature. Students will be required to purchase Essential Elements for Strings Book 2 orchestra book ($7.95). FIELD TRIPS AND CONCERTS ARE MANDATORY FOR THIS CLASS.
Students will be asked to provide black pants, black socks, black shoes, AND purchase a Rowe MS Music Dept. polo shirt ($15.00) for their performance uniform
ADVANCED ORCHESTRA - 7th & 8th Grade (Year Long)
Prerequisite: Audition only or teacher signature.
Prerequisite: Audition only or teacher signature.
The Advanced Orchestra is designed for experienced students who strive for an understanding of musical skills and a desire to produce excellence in music performance. Musical skills will include shifting, bowing styles, vibrato, and performance literature. Students will be required to purchase Essential Elements for Strings Book 2 orchestra book ($7.95). FIELD TRIPS AND CONCERTS ARE MANDATORY FOR THIS CLASS.
Students will be asked to provide black pants, black socks, black shoes AND purchase a Rowe MS Music Dept. polo shirt ($15.00) for their casual performance uniform. For festival or concert performances, they must wear a white, long sleeved shirt, black tie AND their black dress pants, black socks and black shoes.
